Happy Birthday to Ajay Devgn

Bollywood ace actor Ajay Devgn will be celebrating his 42nd birthday today. This two time National award winning actor is on a roll off late as his recent releases [Once upon a time…, Golmaal 3, Raajneeti and DTBHJ] except Aakrosh tasted huge success at BO.

Known for his serious roles Ajay was criticized at times that he can’t carry a comedy role before bouncing back with Golmaal and the rest as all know is history.

Ajay as a director directed U, Me aur Hum [2008]. Though it failed badly, he was appreciated for his taking skills.

One of the most bankable actors in Bollywood, his next release would be the remake of south Tamil hit Singham with the same name in Bollywood. His good friend Rohit Shetty is directing it. The actor took a day off from Singham to be with his family in Mumbai.

Ajay is happy as of now as he already got a birthday present in the form of his wife Kajol receiving the Padma Shri award last evening from President Pratibha Patil. Add to it, the birthday would be sweeter if India wins the World cup today.

Kajal Agarwal has roped with Ajay Devgn

Ajay Devgn is taking a special interest in mentoring his Singham co-star Kajal Aggarwal, the South actress, who makes her debut in the Hindi remake directed by Rohit Shetty.

Ajay has never taken an interest in promoting his lead heroines. With Kajal, he feels that there needs to be a proper strategy in place to help launch her in B-Town.

A source said, "Ajay has worked with newcomers before but has never shown so much enthusiasm and excitement. He now feels that one needs to be more aggressive than before.

Also, he doesn’t want to hide Kajal from the media."The plan is to have her involved in the publicity campaign right from the beginning rather than introducing her at a later stage.

"Kajal has worked in the south and is quite a popular face. Ajay feels that she needs to get better branding. She impressed the actor during Singham’s Goa schedule.

Rumours were doing the rounds that the actress might even get to feature in a song in the next Golmaal film," the source added.
