Satya Sai Baba's condition critical

The doctors, who are treating Sai Baba at Higher Medical Sciences at Puttaparthi, on Monday said that his condition has worsened.


The hospital issued a statement that said "Sathya Sai Baba continues to be on ventilator support for helping his respiration and suction of the secretions from the lungs. He continues to be on CRRT (continuous renal replacement therapy) system to help the functioning of the kidneys."

Hospital director A.N. Safaya said though Sai Baba’s condition is critical, they were using every possible medical intervention and there is no cause for anxiety. He appealed to the devotees to pray for his recovery and not try to enter the hospital.

His followers have turned anxiuos after knowing his critical state of health.People from nearby places have started arriving at Puttaparthy to enquire about baba’s health.
The market has worn a deserted look. People were seen gathering in small groups at all the places.

Sai Baba was admitted to Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Medical Sciences at Prashanti Gram in Andra Pradesh’s Anantapur district on March 28, following pneumonia and respiratory problems
